it was the last straw for us because that dealer sucks. and lexus did not charge us more or even threaten to.Ryeguy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 6:13 amYeah, that is a bit nuts when you think about it.HapaHapa wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 8:23 pmI heard on the radio this morning that the average (median?) can price is now around $47k. That really surprised me.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 6:20 amThe market here has totally cooled off.Bob1035 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 4:08 amIn normal times, I would totally agree. These days though, looking at the typical CPO pricing, it sadly seems to make more sense to order new and wait for delivery. However, it feels like the market is cooling a touch and used/CPO prices will hopefully come back to earth.
Of the three big influences on that number, labor costs, material costs, and inflation, I suspect inflation is the most impactful.

I had the first year of the 2 door Evoque, and would still probably have it, if they didn't release the 2 door Defender. I really liked the Evoque when I had it.Erratic101 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 2:45 pmJust got this thing for my wife. The amount of electronics in this thing blows me away. Cameras everywhere. Just kidding! My in-laws have owned an '06 Range Rover Sport from new, and it's been trouble (and leak) free!Erratic101 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 3:31 pmNot yet!! Lol. That’s just because I gave it a much needed bath before our light snow stormSelym wrote:...and it's already leaking!
Re: What do you drive???
It really is. We drove mine from Florida to Missouri and back, and it's a really nice road trip car with tons of space. There are things that I wish the Defender would've taken from the Evoque.Erratic101 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 3:32 pmI drove it a bunch yesterday, I told my wife I may steal it! Re: What do you drive???
Just picked this one up last night. Model 3 RWD. My wife's new daily. I like how it drives. Not sure I'm ready to give up my turbo woosh noises but I see the appeal. Maybe I'll get myself one of the really fast ones down the road.

Those are intriguing. Not ready given my career, but perhaps someday.

I plan to test it out for my commute and weird schedule and I doubt it will let me down, but I'll be definitely evaluating it to possibly go electric for my car too. I do like having the option for either now.

I like it. VW could do a Tiguan GT if they were smart.
What do you drive???
I agree. It’s already AWD/4 Motion and has the same motor as the GTI. My sales girl has the same rig with an APR+ Tune. I’ll have the dealer drop that in ours at some point. You can also get it R Line trim with bigger wheels and stiffer suspension, so 70 more ponies would be perfect.hoppyjr wrote:I like it. VW could do a Tiguan GT if they were smart.

I’ve had good luck with APR, but give it some break in miles first.Wario406 wrote:I agree. It’s already AWD/4 Motion and has the same motor as the GTI. VW could tune this from the factory, do an upgraded suspension, GTI seats & steering wheel, DSG, etc. and have a factory sport AWD SUV. It would be a hit.
Re: What do you drive???
I totally agree with you. I think they’re poking that market with the RLine. Has the upgraded seats, wheels, and suspension- but no extra juice. They should just put the bigger turbo and tune in it from the Golf R. I think it’d be a massive hit.hoppyjr wrote:I’ve had good luck with APR, but give it some break in miles first.Wario406 wrote:I agree. It’s already AWD/4 Motion and has the same motor as the GTI. Re: What do you drive???
I came close to getting one of these for my wife. I went and test drove it, because she had a broken ankle at the time. I loved it, the immediate acceleration was a ton of fun. But I figured I'd have her check it out first, so I took her to the dealer and got her in the passenger seat and took off. The instant take-off that I found so fun gave her motion sickness, and it was off the table. I was smiling ear to ear but she was turning green. I'd never driven an electric, and was never really interested, but it was fun. Now I'd like a Rivian truck for myself. Anyway, congrats, I'm sure she'll have fun with it.
Re: What do you drive???
Anyone buy anything within the last couple of weeks? Its New Daily Driver Time for me, and I'm wondering what I'm in for at the dealerships, specifically if anyone is negotiating now. Looking specifically at CPO stuff, Subaru's mostly.
I know the answer is "it depends", just curious if anyone has had any experience with the softening of the market.

Re: What do you drive???
My stepdaughter just got a Hyundai Elantra, and is paying $375 a month for it on a lease which is just crazy. If buying new, be prepared to put down a big down payment and still have a higher monthly bill than you expect. I know in my area and over 200 miles beyond me, Subarus are scarce at dealers so pricing will be high.Bob1035 wrote:Anyone buy anything within the last couple of weeks? Thanks!jswing wrote:Congrats, the Tiguan is a great car, a huge improvement over the previous generation, which had very little room in the back.
We dig it. Super comfy - it’s gonna get an APR+ tune once it hits 1k miles. :-)
