That’s actually why I traded the one year old (and pretty awesome) Telluride for the Toyota. It seems the current “old school” model will only be produced until maybe June, then will give way to a new new model on a new platform. I didn’t want a turbo 4 cylinder or bells & whistles, I wanted the last of the old style.

Thanks bud. I'm not sure about the MT type tires....my play days aren't what they were.

If new, see if Discount Tire will give something on a trade in. For mostly street/snow use, check out Yokohama G015 Geolander or Falken Wildpeak. Both would be quieter, more comfy, and have the peak-mountain-snowflake designation, indicating good for severe weather year round.

Thanks for that. I’ll probably run these through the snow and make a change in springtime.hoppyjr wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 11:02 amIf new, see if Discount Tire will give something on a trade in. Re: What do you drive???
It is for the wife. I am fancy without something like this.
Thanks Ed. The wife loves it. So she said it was a "must".
Thanks brother! Good luck on finding a new car.
Those are some killer dream rides. Way too rich for me though.
Yeah, we kind of had to. We LOVE Genesis, but our dealer here totally sucks. We went to buy a new g70 last week and they try to tell us some bs that if we don't buy today they are gonna jack the price up $10k. So fuck those guys. Their service absolute sucks. And we aren't driving to Denver just to get shit done. It is unfortunately because we really loved that brand. But without a support system it is was problematic to own.
Thanks Dave! The wife loves it.
Yeah I really liked the GS. And it had a funky style to it. I hope this one serves us well. Thanks dude.

In normal times, I would totally agree. These days though, looking at the typical CPO pricing, it sadly seems to make more sense to order new and wait for delivery. However, it feels like the market is cooling a touch and used/CPO prices will hopefully come back to earth.

We’re pretty mundane. Traded in our 2020 Ford Explorer XLT for a 22 Ford Edge SEL. Smaller but still roomier than a compact, heated seats and steering wheel, wireless apple CarPlay with a huge 12 inch display in the center, 250hp and it does what we need it to do for our driving. Comfy on road trips and no issues so far.

Wireless Apple CarPlay is one thing my Tacoma really ought to have.tattoo chef wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 6:30 amWe’re pretty mundane. Traded in our 2020 Ford Explorer XLT for a 22 Ford Edge SEL. There are some aftermarket options that plug into the USB port to enable this feature, but Toyota misses the mark by not including it even at the highest trim levels.
I rented a Ford Edge Hybrid last time I was in South Carolina and found it to be a roomy, fairly peppy, little SUV. We drove that thing all over Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, and Isle of Palms and I think I used less than a tank of gas.

I believe you had an Escape if it was a hybrid as they never put a hybrid engine in the Edge and it looks like they never will as it’s being discontinued after 2023.Ryeguy wrote:Wireless Apple CarPlay is one thing my Tacoma really ought to have.tattoo chef wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 6:30 amWe’re pretty mundane. I heard on the radio this morning that the average (median?) can price is now around $47k. That really surprised me.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 6:20 amThe market here has totally cooled off.Bob1035 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 4:08 amIn normal times, I would totally agree. Yeah, that is a bit nuts when you think about it.HapaHapa wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 8:23 pmI heard on the radio this morning that the average (median?) can price is now around $47k. Of the three big influences on that number, labor costs, material costs, and inflation, I suspect inflation is the most impactful.
As someone said on another forum I frequent, "when everyone has money, no one has money".

Just got this thing for my wife. The amount of electronics in this thing blows me away. Cameras everywhere. Turbo 4 cylinder, 9 speed transmission. Amazingly smooth, and you melt into the seat. The panoramic sun window is awesome.

You’ve got all the bases covered; sports, car for summer days, mama’s, new ride for stylin’ and general comfort, and yours for off-road and bad weather. Win-win-win.Erratic101 wrote:Just got this thing for my wife. The amount of electronics in this thing blows me away. Cameras everywhere. Turbo 4 cylinder, 9 speed transmission. Totally.
