What’s new in my ever changing garage?

I have a Janus Halcyon, a Honda monkey, a boxster enduro car (finished its first 24 hour race)

And

Cheeze’s Miata.
That janus is sweet

Speaking of Mazdas, my first was a brand new 1972 RX-2, with the rotary engine, of course! My sixth was a CX-5. Awesome cars. The '72 was one of my favorite new cars, of 41 total. Mine was silver, though. Sounded like a Boeing 707 on take-off!

Nice! I’ve been planning to buy a Miata for several years now. I’m pretty sure I’ll get one after my Tundra is paid off. I’ve missed spirited driving too much since we paired down from 3 to 2 vehicles In our last shake up in 2021. While the land cruiser and tundra are great for off roading and long trips, they’re not fun to drive on the road!
I’m 6’2” and I drove a friend’s Miata when they first came out and I had to drive it with the top down and looking over the windshield. Have they gotten any roomier?
 they have… a little bit! 🤏

1988 Land Rover Defender restomod built by ECD. I currently have it for sale and spreading the word before I ship it to California for consignment. Any takers?

Nice ride!

Those are fun to drive and pretty snappy with the turbo. Mazda does the best red too. Congrats.
Mazda makes a pretty good vehicles. My wife drives a CX-9 and the Miata in the summer.

Just put down a deposit for a 2023 4Runner Off Road Premium in lunar rock. My number one color choice. Has the predator XP package which gives it a lot of the TRD Pro appearance stuff. Also went with KDSS. Only ORP I’ve seen with KDSS optioned in my area for a while. Very excited to pick one of these up in the last model year of this generation. Unfortunately the RS3 has to go, but looking forward to getting back into a Yota SUV. Should be here in a couple of weeks.

Sweet 4R, Hoppy! I see a Pro exhaust--assuming it's a debadged Pro?
Edit: Just searched this thread. Looks like it's a modded ORP. Very nice truck!

Nice choice! It's very smart to get the last version of these older stalwart Toyotas before "the great refresh".
New generations always have a bumpy start. I learned at some point that being on the bleeding edge of tech is a bad thing. The reverse of that is to get the final version of something that has been honed and fine tuned over decades of continuous improvement!

Lunar rock is awesome as well. And of course... KDSS FTW! :headbang:

The 4 runners are like your Jeep. Either 2 wheel drive or 4 hi / 4 low. I believe full time 4wd is reserved for the Land Cruiser and GX/LX, which have electronic center differentials.

Actually YES…..the Limited model is full-time AWD. It’s the Toyota version of the GX. FT and a Torsen locking center differential.

If I were looking at the Limited, I’d pony up for the GX. It’s a wonderful vehicle.

Thanks. I wanted to make it my own and fell satisfied that it’s everything I expected, especially after being modded.

Here’s my build thread over on the 4Runner forum, maybe it’ll give you some ideas.

A used GX is in consideration indeed. Love it. But the darn user interface is like 20 years old Image o CarPlay which I got used to and also that weird rear gate. Wonder if I’d get used to it

The 4Runner is near perfect. I’d be in one again if I weren’t in my Tacoma.

Get a GX, it’s a step up in most areas. Especially if you’re not going to actually drive off road. The GX and 4Runner don’t share the same platform. The GX is on the same platform as the Land Cruiser Prado, which is sold in various world markets outside the US.

If you’re just doing mild offroading the GX (properly equipped) would be more than adequate!
