Cool. That's what I'd really like, but so expensive in the UK.

This is a 99 TJ, which I bought locally for $9500. Best $ I’ve ever spent on a car. my kids have loved having it.
Fun/$ ratio unsurpassed and I owned a 86 911 before. Awesome too.

This. I've only had my Tacoma for 2 months and even in this quarantine, it's been a bliss moving the bikes and other sport gear, plus helping family moving a fridge. I'll definitely keep one around as long as I can.jswing wrote:Nice Silverado.demer03 wrote:Ben, no, just a Silverado LT
Chris, yep. Off Corporate lease with 20K
Sepp, just a 6’ bed extended cab....very common where I live. Winters drive 4wd. I am a construction subcontractor, meaning I supply furniture and equipment to laboratories. I have been known to haul material to job sites, sample cabinets to architects, etc. Plus, we have a camper we pull. Once you have a pick up truck I can’t see going back. I fill that bed with all kinds of stuff. Wonderful to go get a load of mulch for the yard and not even worry about it.
I don't even use my truck for work, but I'll never be without one again, the bed is used all the time for sports gear, yard stuff etc.
My Ranger is an extended cab with 6' bed too, but the Silverado seems much bigger.

I’m sure it’s going to be ridiculously expensive.

Re: What do you drive???
It'll be comparable to the Wrangler, which has seen price bloat along with long term, low interest loans. It'll base around $30k and will probably top out mid 50's. I am eagerly awaiting it, but will pass for the first model yr or 2.
Re: What do you drive???
Although the slight delay in me getting my Exige Sport 410 is annoying, I've got so say I'm really impressed with the S3 220 Sport Elise I have as a loan car at the moment.
With another few HP and a bit more torque it would be just about the quickest and most fun car to drive on a bumpy, twisty, narrow English B Road. I had a great drive yesterday & there is a section of road I know intimately that I've never been down quicker or had so much fun driving. The way the Elise shrugs off the undulations & poorly surfaced sections and stays planted is witchcraft. It's so light & stable under braking that you can leave the braking for corners really late and of course the steering is sublime. Just a bit more punch out of corners & it would be perfection. As long as the damping is similar, the Cup 250 must be amazing.

I don't need bells and whistles. My Ranger is an STX 4x4 that was low 30s. If I can do the same with the Bronco I'm most likely in.streetracer101 wrote:It'll be comparable to the Wrangler, which has seen price bloat along with long term, low interest loans. Re: What do you drive???
The JL base Wrangler Unlimited in my over-inflated market are advertised for around $33k. Now that the model is a couple years old, you can get them for under $30k with some negotiation. Ford is stupid if they try to shoot their base price much higher on the Bronco (after the buying craziness settles). A large chunk of the Bronco business model is designed to steal buyers from Jeep. That's why they've supposedly designed it with removable top and doors and the ability to clear 35's in mostly stock form.jswing wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 5:35 amI don't need bells and whistles. This guy's voice annoys me, but it covers most of the leaks I've seen so far.
And that yellow looks great in the promo pic. That'll probably be the color I go for in 2-3 yrs once they work out all the bugs on it.

"The reveal of the all-new Ford Bronco lineup will now happen on Monday, July 13," Ford spokesman Mark Truby said on Twitter Friday. "The previous targeted date of July 9 unintentionally coincided with O.J. Simpson’s birthday. We wanted to be sensitive and respectful of this concern."

Loving my 2018 Tundra Long Bed. Looking into the Bronco 2dr to add in a couple of years. Hopeful they make the soft top for the 2dr in the future models.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.
Re: What do you drive???
I like that! It's like an old-school pickup.
Most modern pickups don't seem very useful in terms of carrying construction materials, etc. in the bed. It's like the designers were going for "Rolling Codpiece" instead of "utility vehicle".

Re: What do you drive???
we use this when camping and hauling kayaks. The long bed is a luxury, lol. I did think about overnight fishing on a large retired highway bridge and having a twin XL bed in the back to sleep on.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

The Tundra is a work horse and known for carrying construction materials. Very reliable. This long bed is a contractor’s dream.

The most fun I've ever had behind the wheel is when driving a 2007 Exige S on some twisty mountain roads here in Northern California. If it weren't for the fact that 1) I could barely squeeze my 6'4" frame into the car and 2) my wife absolutely hated the thing I'd have owned one.
Enjoy the new car when it arrives.
