A big to the sportcombi and the caymen. The 9-2X is sick as well. What exhaust are you running?toxicavenger wrote:Here are a few pics of our current collection. I will try to dig up more pics but I did have a lifted Subaru Outback that was my fishing vehicle.
Randy beautiful Datsun with very tasteful mods. Is that Panasport lite weight wheels on it?

Re: What do you drive???
On the Sportcombi I have a BSR dual exhaust, the Caymen has a custom black stock exhaust and on the 9-2x we are running a STI system on it. I have to say the BSR setup is one of the nicest mail order exhaust that I have ever used.

Cat back? How is the sound? Droning? Any chance you compared it to something from Miltek, etc?

Re: What do you drive???
Actually there is no droning at all and it is as quite as the stock exhaust. But it is better flowing design than the stock exhaust. The mufflers on it are about 2" long so I guess this is why it is so quite.
My wife made me promise after buying a Miltek on our old S4 that I would never do that again! That was because of the fact that it droned so much and you couldn't cruise on the highway without getting a headache from it. It really made long distance driving (which is what we use our wagons for) a nightmare. But it did sound cool around town!
I have also used a Magnaflow setup and Flowmasters on 2 other cars in the past. Both the Magnaflow and Flowmaster all have serious droning issues too. I have also tried different diameters of exhaust pipe to control droning and 2.5 is the best IMO with a mildly modified car. Plus they attracted some unwanted attention.
The wife and I both agree the BSR is the nicest one around for the price. IMO the wife being happy with something is worth alot more than a bunch of exhaust noise.

One of our rides. Don't have a pic of the other. We were able to take advantage of Volvo's European delivery with the XC90 T6 AWD, since we had to special order it, we figured, why not?

Beautiful 240z. I hear you on the lack of tire selection. I have the same problem with my '88 Porsche 944 on stock 15's. I ended up going with Goodyear Eagle GT's.Datsun240Z71 wrote:Thanks. The wheels are Nissan factory wheels off a 1981 Datsun 280ZX, the follow up body style to the original Z. I've considered Panasports which look great on Zs, but think the factory wheels just look "right", although performance 14'' tires are getting harder to find.toxicavenger wrote:Randy beautiful Datsun with very tasteful mods. You're lucky...I get 13.5 mpg in my Mazda CX-9 (combination of mostly city streets diving and a VERY lead foot!).PoliMalaka wrote:Picked up one of these in March. LOVE IT!! In fact it gets better and better everyday.

I happen to disagree. The new grill makes the front end look like a fish mouth.patstarrx wrote:I always loved the FX series

The G series you have there is OMFG. In fact, I almost got the G37 S. What a phenomenal car.

Re: What do you drive???
2007 Acura MDX Sport. I love it, love it, love it. If you need a three-row 'ute that can swallow all your crap (and I do mean ALL of your crap), but you still want to be able to pull .86g on the skidpad, this one is hard to beat. That electromagnetic adaptive suspension hooey and torque vectoring AWD actually work as advertised. Go figure.
Shame about the grille, though (it just gets worse with the '10s)...
So far I've got almost 35K miles on it, but I won't even consider moving it out of the garage until I hit at least 150K.
Regards,
Adam
PS - I also have a '90 Taurus SHO and an '97 Benz E420 that I leave in CT, both purchased new, and both still running strong.

I love Honda & Acura, but the newer Acuras just keep getting more and more angular.
