You can't go wrong with an RDX or an MDX.

Traded in my 2013 911 S a couple of weeks ago. My favorite car I’ve ever owned but given family needs and what I need in a car (more utility, a daily driver I can take to client meetings), I went with a 2022 Macan GTS. Absolutely love it. Currently getting PPF and some light tinting done.

Nice! Wife loves her Macan, and I loved the GTS when I test drove one. Enjoy!
Sick! My sister-in-law had one and loved it.
Thanks! Totally loving it.

We still have a pair of 2008 RDX's. Around 110k and 85k miles. Just pretty run of the mill repairs, and for the most part nothing but oil change stuff for 50 or 60k miles. One item that has bugged me is all of the door locks failing one by one. However, I expect that issue has been corrected as I didn't notice that issue on AcuraZine blogs.

After my best friends dad passed, his mom gave me dad’s old truck. 1997 Chevy C1500 extended cab 2wd, with 70k original miles!
I’ve put a good bit into bringing it up to speed with maintenance, replacing wear items, and cosmetic stuff, but I smile for many reasons when I drive it.

When Emily's dad got a new truck back in like 2018 or so, he gave us his 2010 F-150. It was a great mulch hauler!
I traded it along with my 2018 Accord in for the Tundra.

Recently got the wife a new Honda Ridgeline. Our first all wheel drive vehicle. It take some getting used to the feeling of an all wheel drive.

That’s a pretty truck, even if it is a GM product.

I've had great luck. But let's be honest...GM and Ford do full size right can't go wrong with either.

I think the Ridgeline AWD is based on the Acura SH-AWD system which is a good one for bad weather on roads. Has good torque vectoring abilities and can go up to 70% in the rear. I think it defaults to FWD unless it detects slippage so better for mileage.

I agree. I’m a Ford guy, but scored a 97 Chevy C1500 with 70k on it and it’s great.

Yeah Acura’s SH-AWD is good.
You guys got me curious. Apparently similar to Acuras version.
From the web.
"Mechanically similar to Acura’s third-generation SH-AWD® system, the new i-VTM4 required no intervention from the driver for maximum capability thanks to the torque-vectoring capabilities of the electronically controlled, hydraulically actuated rear differential. The system progressively distributed optimum torque between the front and rear axles, and dynamically distributed engine torque between the left and right rear wheels."

Hell yeah! If you really want to feel how the torque vectoring in these works, accelerate hard around a corner and you’ll feel that back end push the car around the apex. It’s fun.

Anyone driven one of the 2023 or 2024 GMC Canyon / Chevy Colorado trucks? We’re thinking about getting one next year and just starting to do the research.
They are flat towable behind the RV, which is a big plus for us. Since the interiors only come in black, we’re thinking the AT4x / Denali or Z71 / ZR2 trim levels since you can get ventilated seats with cooling for summer time in the Rockies.

My son runs some dealerships in Michigan, says the 2.7 four cylinder is a reliable beast. Same motors in the 1500.

Good to hear. I saw the GMC has some of the better torque and HP numbers in the mid size class. The comparison review I saw online to the Tacoma, the guy lined the GMC better overall too.

There isn’t much left. I was going to buy a newer Mercedes e400 wagon but I fell in love with this twin turbo BMW for a great price. It is the last year BMW brought the 5 series wagon to the US.
