sounds great, man. both of you.

and i love a good sax player. we have a pro woodwind (sax, clarinet, flute) guy who sits in with us for gigs sometimes (maybe half?) just cuz he likes to get out and play something completely different than his regular jazz. it's *SO* much fun to add him into the mix.

It's big fun to make music with like-minded folks.
Of course, every gig in the world has been canceled without any forecast to return.
Friday, I received an exciting and CRAZY phone call from a company manager that previously hired the band. She wanted to discuss an opportunity for mid-May. This person indicated that her company owners wanted to have a little party, but they had eight stipulations/questions.
1. Would I play outside in the heat?
2. Would I wear a suit in the heat?
3. Would I use an outside portable toilet?
4. Would I perform without a tip jar?
5. Would I refrain from any form of interaction with guests/owners?
6. They would allow only one person into their facility. Would I play without the full band and perform solo?
7. Could I be completely discrete? (no recording or posting on social media).
8.The tables would be 35-65 feet away. Would amplification be a concern?

I gave the band member's first opportunity to swing, but none of them were interested. It sounds like a selfish act.

This was 100% the idea of my 10 year old son Max to do a duo drum cover so this was a total experiment to see whether we could pull it off, whether i could figure out how to even edit all the tracks together etc. This was meant as a test to see if we could even figure it out but we thought it was pretty cool so we kept it and here it is. The playing isnt anywhere near perfect as we were just messing around but it still ended up kinda cool! Call it a Father and Son experiment. Hope you have fun with it!

That was great, Eric! How old is your son?

My oldest son(13 y.o.) started to take up drumming again since the Coronavirus lockdown in March. I subscribed to Drumeo Edge 26-week online drum lessons so he can monitor and see his progression. My office reopened last week so this is something he can do while I’m at work.

I’m grooming my 4 y.o. son and 2 y.o. daughter, lol. My 10 y.o. son has a saxophone he’s been working with. My wife is a pianist. I’ll post up our rendition of Herbie Hancock’s Chameleon once we get it recorded.

It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

Nice job.

Is this an acoustic kit with triggers or a custom E-kit?

Still using the TD-30 module?

Thanks Ed. It's a custom kit I had built to my specs. 6 ply Maple shells, custom finish and custom hardware. Has a proprietary trigger system built in. Mesh heads etc. I'm using the Pearl mimic pro module which is by far the best on the market as it runs Steven Slate drums so the sounds are incredible.

Sounds good. The general feel of acoustics with the benefits of electronic.
