Love shark week! Thanks for the reminder. I also enjoy watching shows about the Orcas. They’re bad ass too.

I took my son and some of his friends out for a sight seeing trip to the Isle of Shoals yesterday. One of the little islands always has seals on / around it and is a fun spot for the kids to "ooh" and "ahh" over them.

One kid asked if I thought there were any sharks in the water and I said I absolutely guarantee there are. Where there are seals, there are sharks.

His eyes got about as big as saucers at that comment. I probably traumatized him for life.

Yep, will be watching this week. Love Shark Week, although I think I love the concept more than the actual shows at this point.

I’m a fan of Shark Week.

Interestingly, I was fishing in the surf at dawn yesterday and saw 4-5 sharks come in very close. One of them was like a missile going through a bait school. I have never seen them so close at the Jersey Shore. Makes you realize you never really know what’s in there and we as humans are just visitors to their home.

My wife is a marine biologist who studies sharks and sawfish, so if you want to check out some of her pictures/science stuff, here is the link to her facebook.

this was my dive in Roatan 10 years ago. we had about 15 Caribbean reef sharks. they're magnificent beasts.

In UK Shark week is euphemism for 'that time of month' where men's lives are in danger but not from Hammerheads...

Nope, nope & nope. I paddle on Sydney Harbour and the waters outside Sydney Heads & Bondi. The last thing I want to think about is Mr Noah Ark...
