What are some of your favorite scary movies?
What are some of your favorite scary movies?
I thought this would be fun since it’s basically a Halloween weekend
that is coming up. ..What are some of your favorite scary movies?
Maybe you just have one, or a few. Maybe you have so many it’s scary.
Oh, and are you more a fan of older horror movies, or newer ones?
And do you have any recommendations?
In any case, Happy Halloween to you guys !

Whisky has killed more men than bullets, but most men would rather be full of whisky than bullets.

More gore than scary, but I love most every one of the Saw series (except 4). Very intelligent plots IMO.

Re: What are some of your favorite scary movies?
I like the old Universal flicks; the Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman and Mummy movies. Also the Original Invisible Man, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, as well as 50’s classics like The Thing, Forbidden Planet and Them. Almost all classics.
I think Saturday, Sunday and Monday many will be on Cozi tv and TCM if you can get them.

Best for me is The Cabin in the Woods.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

Anyone see Barbarian?
Re: What are some of your favorite scary movies?
Yowza Stu, that is crazy funny right there. Oh man, that’s THE best !
Thanks a ton for the laugh !
Oh, and Dave, those are classics, but can you believe that I do not
think I have actually seen The Conjuring? I’ll have to add that to
the list !
Todd, you know, you are right, the Saw movies really were impressive
all the way around, plus stand out in the crowd right?!
And J, I am embarrassed to admit this, but I am not sure I have actually
seen most of those older classics. I mean I have seen bits and pieces,
but not the entire movies for the most part. ..The only one I saw in it’s
entirety was Forbidden Planet, and what’s crazy is that I just watched
it this past summer !
Hey and Tom, Jacobs Ladder is yet another that I haven’t ever seen.
Can you believe it?! I have so many to watch thanks to you guys that
it’s amazing !
Even Cabin in the Woods is going straight to my must watch list Henry,
and Nick !! ..I believe that I saw Cabin Fever, but not Cabin
in the Woods if you can believe it.
Wow, and Barbarian is a new one to me too Matt. Haven’t seen that
one either sir. Can’t thank all of you guys enough for making this
scary movie thread scary fun !
THX very very much guys !!!

It's not exactly a "scary movie," but it will grab you by the throat and start squeezing. If you happen to like Zoë Bell (Australian actress and stuntwoman), it's a must see. Raze isn't for everyone, as it's about women who are kidnapped, imprisoned, and forced to fight to the death for the viewing pleasure of a wealthy sect. Lots of drama...not a cheap exploitation movie.
