Ollech and Wajs C-1000 Diver

Post by tattoo chef » Sat Oct 10, 2020 11:32 pm

I rarely post my reviews here, but thought I would share my take on the Ollech and Wajs. And yes, I’m posting in the middle of the night as I just finished the review.

Thankfully, you have forced me to take off my rose colored
glasses with this watch. I really like the looks of the case, bracelet, etc but your review forces me to look at its shortcomings especially in its price range.

Ultimately, reviews will reinforce an opinion and validate money well spent or pull back the curtain and save us potentially significant amounts of money

Relative to the O&W diver, I am better for reading your review and my wallet thanks you.

Thanks. I was a little punchy last night, and that’s when my sarcasm truly comes out in writing. Unfortunately I didn’t proofread it enough so I spent 10 minutes this morning editing it again.

This shot:

makes the watch look proportionally odd with the long lugs and small overall diameter.

It reminds me almost of one of those Fitbit style fitness trackers where the tracker head is barely wider than the bracelet.

Great review, buddy! It was honest and frankly for the price, the flaws shouldn’t be there. They just shouldn’t.

Thank you!

been wearing this for about 3 months straight now (7" wrist, don't have the bracelet) and love it for all the design quirkiness you mention, it is a tool watch... I especially like the thin bezel insert (similar to the original O&W Caribbean and yes, they could've gone sapphire)... lume is not Seiko, but perfectly adequate through the night for me, and great brushed finish throughout... and worn on the very comfortable a.f.0210 strap, it's near perfection... not many wearable 1000m divers out there... granted, I got a sweet deal on wus getting one like new and paying only about 1/3 of the ~$1800 O&W price tag (now about $1600 with the strong $)... still a pretty nifty watch worth checking out
