Hi guys,
I haven't seen this pop up for a while so I thought I'd post it up here for you guys. For those who always wondered how exactly a watch works. This is an old film from 1949 and it still looks good today (well almost ) sit back and enjoy...
Edit: I found it on Youtube and posted that instead to make it easier.

No doubt my favorite video showing how a watch works. Good Sticky material.
Yes, that was cool... Thanks! I actually thought there were little people inside watches that were experts at extracting money from my wallet. I'm sad to find out that the 'extractor' is actually ME.

Best video I've seen in terms of explaining the inner workings of a watch. Thanks for sharing, Graeme. That was definitely helpful for me - I usually don't know too much about how the darn things actually work.
Cheers for the link Graeme. It's great to see a video made in 1949 that holds it's own to any of the more recent ones.
By the way, i've posted the video on my forum as a reference to the members there, i hope you don't mind.
Just coming across this thread. Amazing stuff. So who was the guy that figured all this out to begin with? And what was he smokin or drinkin to come up with the original idea of this whole drive train. Pardon me if this is old info to you more seasoned WIS.
