Rolex Bracelet Question....

I just traded into/bought a 16600 SD... Watch only no bracelet... Now, when I look on the bay there are a couple 93160 SD bracelets available, but I see a TON of 93150 Sub bracelets available... Anyone know if you can put a 93150 on a 16600?

I don't know the answer to that, but I did read not to put a lug hole style bracelet on a non lug hole case.

I heard that also. And don't try and put a new Glidelock clasp on an old style bracelet. There is no way to get it back off without notching the bracelet.

The SD bracelet has solid end links. It also has a better way of dealing the dive extension. The dive extension gets snapped in the clasp unlike the regular sub clasp which just rattles around.

This. You want SELs. If you're not completely opposed, I'm sure there are some excellent aftermarket bracelets out there for under $150. I know several here have rocked them on their old subs.

It actually comes with one, with some sort of aftermarket Glide-Lock clasp. Hoping it's quality and looks decent, that might satisfy me till I pony up the cash for an OEM.

The older Rolex bracelets are remarkably low tech. I imagine that most aftermarket bracelets are equally as good...just most people can't get over the fact that they lack the crown on the clasp. I've never used one, but I am sure it'll do in a pinch. Anyway, that watch works best on nato, so give that a try. You might decide you don't even want a bracelet.

You might want to give rubber a shot too. I pretty much packed the bracelet away after fitting an Iso on my 16610. Next stop will probably be a Rubber B.

Lots of people do. I've worn my Sub on a DiModell Chronissimo and a black shark, and liked it on both. However, I've never been able to get past the psychological hurdle that comes with wearing a dive watch — some might say the quintessential dive watch — on leather. But that's just me.
