New Tudor coming

Post by dukerules » Sat Jun 27, 2020 6:01 am

Announcement on July 1. Nothing confirmed, but apparently it's a blue BB58. I bet it's pretty awesome.

sounds like announcement in a few days, arrival in AD around September and as for availability....well who knows

to avoid wait lists at AD's, We might start seeing wait lists at grey dealers the way things are going

Rahul is right, I bet it look great

A blue bb58 would be great.

Loved the bb58 size and design. Just don’t think I was a gilt watch guy.

Hope they go with steel/silver instead of gilt.

They’ll sell a gazillion of those if they do it right.

I have inside AD confirmation: blue & no gilt. If they would ditch the rivets I’d like it better, but still a likely buy.

Blue, no-gilt BB58 sounds nice but extremely boring.

Right. They won’t be able to keep it in stock.

You are correct; a Submariner is also extremely boring.

Boring sells. Look at people’s taste. Most people buy bland crossovers SUV’s. Live in beige vinyl houses in subdivisions similar to their neighbors, Etc.... People like to think they want to be unique, but in the end we are herd animals.

Tudor will sell a shit ton of these.

It seems a bit bland to me. Maybe it’s just the original bad pic.

Needs fauxtina to make it interesting, assuming this is a real picture (looks real to me):

Guess I'll keep my blue Sinn 104.

I think that, what makes the original BB58 an awesome watch IMO, is the red triangle and the gilt.

I recently picked up a BB41 with the blue dial. The silver and blue work really well together, but the 41 dial is a gloss blue. I'm not sure it works quite as well with a more matte blue (which is what Joe's pic looks like). Would need to see more pics. Tudor does use a very nice shade of blue for a lot of its offerings.

It looks good, I'd try to get on a list for one if I didn't already have the original BB58.

That will sell a ton.

It would cover any vintage itch anyone has (but the original is always still the best). The blue no-date was always the hardest tudor flake to find.

But a modern blue no date....that is killer.
