A couple Tudor AD questions

Post by MDF » Tue Feb 15, 2022 12:41 pm

Can you still save on taxes if you purchase a watch from an AD online in a different state? Any Tudor AD suggestions? If I went to an AD in person is it likely they may give me some type of discount? I mostly buy online in the forums but was thinking if the price isn’t that different I may buy from an AD for once. I’m looking at getting a BB58 Blue.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Mark

I think a discount would be highly unlikely, at least in my area. The closest Tudor/Rolex AD by me gave the strong impression that they wouldn't even sell me a BB58 without a "relationship". This was two weeks ago. I am sure it is different elsewhere, as I thought they were easier to get now.

It depends on the states involved. I can buy from California and have if shipped here, without them charging tax. If you order from a store in Washington State, they are collecting tax even on out of state sales.

Good luck finding an AD with anything in stock.

Damn I thought the supply issue was only Rolex! Oh well I’ll probably just look at watchrecon like usual.

Thanks guys,
Mark

My local AD has some Tudor models, but I'm not sure about the more popular black bays or the Pelagos. They're also a Rolex AD, and the cupboard there is pretty bear unless you want a 26mm two tone datejust.

Good afternoon. It all depends on which state you order the watch from. In Washington, for example, there will be a large tax, in other states it will be cheaper or not at all.
