AD Visit

Post by R@cerx » Mon Mar 11, 2024 5:37 pm

Stopped by one of my favorite Rolex AD’s over the weekend (Windsor in Charlotte). Had a nice chat with one of the SA’s and tried on a couple he offered. 36mm Explorer in 18k and stainless and 40mm DD in rose gold with the brown roman numeral dial. It sort of felt like the old days at an AD, lots of fun.

Nice to experience the attempted sale once again.

My local AD only has the non-working display models, but it was handy and helped me push off the Explorer 40.

Not an attempted sale at all. I’m a customer from the past, in fact my wife was wearing the OP they got me for her a few years ago.

This AD treats everyone as a potential customer. Had I wanted either of the ones I tried on, I’m certain that would have happened in due time. I was told that version of the Explorer is not in demand and easy to source.

Having not seen the new explorer, I agree it wears smaller than the 114270. I should have taken a side by side with mine.
