Recently i read about gold capped Tudor crown & bezel which originally i thought they are solid gold. The price is quite a gap between all steel vs half tone gold.
The question is would you pay extra more for gold capped watch?? My thoughts lean towards a "faux" gold for any gold capped steel. What do you think?

I dislike gold watches and jewelry, so I’d definitely avoid gold plated stuff. YMMV

We must be looking at the same Tudor…
What model???
I can’t decide on the two-tone or the all steel.

All current sport half tone models are gold capped and I lost the appetite.1954Selmer wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 2:46 amWe must be looking at the same Tudor…

While they may offer a touch of luxury and a more premium appearance, they typically don't hold the same value as solid gold watches.

I’m surprised, the gold plated watches don’t hold value like solid real gold.briaice57 wrote:While they may offer a touch of luxury and a more premium appearance, they typically don't hold the same value as solid gold watches.
Is it also true that water is often wet and sunshine is warm?
