I know, I know, but this one has a whopper of a story.
Buddy offered me this. He bought it from the grandson of a spear fisherman in Hawaii. It was worn out and my buddy had it restored. The grandson tells him his grandpa took it off fishing, set it down on the boat and it got knocked into the water…lost…couldn’t find it. Fast forward to another trip he spears a big one (I couldn’t understand the fish type he said..) and his doxa is IN THE FISH. There is a newspaper article that was written in the 70s. I’m trying to get a copy of it for the collection. Can’t make this stuff up, sometimes.

Did he try to sell you some beach front property in AZ too? If that's factual, it's the best damn fish story I've ever heard.

I’ll believe it completely if I get a copy of this article. Until then, it’s just fun
