Purchase from Doxa in Switzerland in person?

Has anyone had the experience of trying to purchase from Doxa direct?

I travel to Italy each year, often travelling to the north so the logistics of
hopping into Switzerland wouldnt be too hard, would be a nice way to
compliment the addition of a great watch to the collection and from here in Australia
would save many hundreds of $$ in taxes and add ons.

Just would have to tell the wife i am off to visit another car factory or museum

All kidding aside, I didn't think they did this, regardless of where their factory might be located. At this point, I thought you had to go through the website. Not sure about the stuff they do for their Asian market, but at least that's what I thought when it came to the Sub series.

Well, so I think you get the idea Rob, that Doxa is not exactly a true Swiss company. That said, many folks, including myself do like their watches, you just have to make sure you get one that's been properly put together, and had the hands painted fully.

The general consensus, is that you are way better off buying a nice one used, as they are a bit expensive for what you get. Personally, I think they peaked with the 750T series, and that it represents the best Doxa has ever put out.

Now if you like Sinn's, that would probably be worth a trip to Frankfurt if you are ever in the area.
