I love some of the colors. Non limited means the secondary market will be robust, too.

Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
I think it works with the black or blue dials, but the contrast is too strong with the other colors.
Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
I was never a big fan of the searambler...but this one may work.

Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
Any word on how these carbon cases handle dings and scratches/gouges?
Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
I read a review on a different watch with a carbon fiber case. The guy accidentally dragged it against a brick wall and it barely showed a mark.

For a superlight carbon watch? These carbon watches feel like toys on the wrist. Good luck.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
Ultimately the carbon flakes/fibers are just suspended in a plastic/resin matrix, so I'm doubtful it would be any better than a hard plastic. The mottled matte color should help hide scratchers really well though so it could "patina" nicely.
Definitely no where near as robust as stainless.... but the lightness could be nice.
Carbon bike bits scratch when you look at them, but that is more due to the glossy finish.
Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
maybe Rob will chime in, he has one.
i recently picked up the victronix carbon case, but haven't done anything rough with it...yet. i have worn it on a few road rides and when i inevitably crash with it i'll report on how it fairs

Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
oh, but i did get the email from analog/shift explaining how they ushered in awareness of the doxa brand to collectors
and to herald the fact that their partner, watches of switzerland, are the first US-based doxa ad since the "quartz setback"

I think Mimo's was the first AD in the US. Then they pulled the AD status.

Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
i would be worried about how the crown/tube is made into it and the caseback. but it looks like a crackerjack toy to me.dnslater wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 10:24 amUltimately the carbon flakes/fibers are just suspended in a plastic/resin matrix, so I'm doubtful it would be any better than a hard plastic. looks like this release is $1k less than the one they first released. that would tick me off if i already bought one.

Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
Yep. $4K for a watch that feels like a chunk of plastic on the wrist. Unattractive IMO too.Axelay2003 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 10:17 amunsub073 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 10:12 amhttps://hypebeast.com/2021/3/doxa-watch ... collection

I dig the sharky and the searambler. Not $3890 dig, but hey-ho.

Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
Very interesting, but predictable for Doxa given what we have seen.
I for one love my Sharky LE with the aqualung logo, and I am actually into it for less than what they are selling these for now.
The carbon does feel crazy light, but that is why I like it so much. I don't have a mark on mine at all (including the carbon bezel) and have worn it swimming, fishing, etc.... Cannot say that about my steel Doxas with the steel bezel.
I am not a fan of the matching rubber strap combos, and while the strap is well made it is too big and bulky for a watch this light. Instead this is a perfect nato or Erika type strap, and for me on either a khaki green or regular khaki strap, but black works too.
I don't need two of these and think mine with the logo is the best, BUT if they ever redid the 750t case in Carbon I would be buyer #1.

Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
I actually like all of them, but hope to get one way in the future on the secondary market, not loving the price and would definitely want to see one in person first

Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
Strangely attracted to the teal... would be an awesome "fun watch" on a NATO.

Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
Caribbean dial looks great with the carbon case. Do they make a bracelet? I bet that’d be fun to wear.
Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
Anybody gotten one of these since this thread was active? I’m liking the aquamarine one with the black strap

Re: What, nobody’s seen these?
Nope. Wears well. Forged carbon is surprisingly resilient. Actually wears better than the polished stainless steel.
