The Dive Watch Connection

So, I discovered *after* buying a used Sinn U1 that there is actually a pretty healthy market for replicas of this brand. I was definitely surprised by that, as I thought Sinn was somewhat of a sleeper brand. I suppose I should do a little research in prepartion for the delivery of my new/old watch in a couple of days.

Is anyone familiar with what to look for when spotting a fake -vs- gen Sinn U1? Or pointers to relevant references?

I can post some related, "educational" links, if there are no objections from the admin staff.

These hands definitely look red to me. I saw something about the Reps sometimes having more of a red (-vs- orange-ish) tint to them, as compared to the real thing. But, that doesn't sound right.

These hands are 'red', no real hint of 'orange', correct???









Also, could someone please post a nice, clear shot of their caseback?

Caseback as requested. Also, there was some discussion on this a while back on WUS, in the Sinn forum I believe. It was a bit scary, but not to the point of freaking out yet.

Yes to the Red on the hands. Not "orangey" at all to my eye.

I never heard of fake u1's... But dam, thats like a compliment to Sinn
