i really ought to buy a U1 rubber strap. i'd probably wear mine more. i still love it. and you're right joe, the bracelet is a really great bracelet. i'm just not a hamfisted guy to balance all that weight out.

and here i just missed the opportunity to ask for it for my bday. *sigh*

For those who have a problem with the weight of the U1, you should try it on an Isofrane. It is a game changer as far as comfort with that watch.

Agree. This watch is overall heavy on bracelet, and a little top heavy on nylon. Wears very well on chunky aftermarket rubber, such as Isofrane. I put mine on another fitted rubber strap recently (Elliot Brown), and it wears great.

I agree on rubber- it helped out the weight balance a lot. But G darn it looks so good on bracelet it’s hard not to wear it that way.

I’m lucky that I get a perfect fit with the bracelet. That rarely happens for me.

This is the way.

Yes I agree. Where are the EZM3 appears larger than its specs, this one appears smaller, likely due to design.

The proportions do appear to be off. I’d love to see one in person. I think the SDR looks better in this size.

It does look small when compared with the U1, which is super small for a 44mm watch.

Damn that looks small. If we do a Professional version I’ll have to take a page from S&W and call it the LadyPro.

I’d love to see one next to an SKX. I bet they’re very similar.

Congrats! Just saw the video of the guy with the disgusting hands  , nice to see the side by side of the U50 and the U1. The U50 is going to wear great. Sinn will sell a ton.

The guy needs to do something for his hands :puke:

The U50 looks much better than the U1, but I'm biased as I find the U1 to be one of the ugliest watches on the market
I would not say the U1 is a beautiful watch... but the first time I saw one it captivated me, probably because there is nothing like it from any brand. And its pretty fucking cool to say that your watch is made from submarine steel

The more I look at the U50 the more I’m really liking it. The slimmed down thickness of the case is going to make it even more wearable.

It is great to see that Sinn listened to customers and made it happen.

"beautiful" isn't the right word. i still love the look, but it's a pure, rugged tool watch. the chunkiness of everything, including the hands, feels right.

and yeah, that tegimented submarine steel is awesome. 8 years old and barely a mark on it anywhere. even the clasp has only very superficial desk diving marks on it.

Great side by side comparo so can really see the U1/U50 size difference. Wow. Hopefully this leads to more divers being offered in that size range. I think the biggest reason for selling my U1 was it’s bulkiness.

Same here.

Went back and forth and ended up with the T on bracelet.

New Sinn Models For BaselWorld 2020

Dang they first video really helped. His wrist are about the same size as mine. I’m gonna need one probably SDR for me. And the narrower and thinner (lighter)bracelet should be great too

I’ve got a feeling the SDR will have a larger visual presence. It’s likely my choice if I snag one.

That’s one of the reasons I’d get the SDR. The bezel being black provides continuity with the black dial and makes the watch larger
The black bezel is also more visually interesting vs. the grey satin case and provides much needed contrast when worn on bracelet
