New bracelet for the U1
New bracelet for the U1
I broke down and bought a new Tegimented bracelet for my U1 today… I’ve never been quite happy with the watch on a strap because its so chunky - but, the bracelet transformed the way it wears. So glad I did this… Needless to say I had to make a significant contribution to the swear jar to get this thing on. Dang is it tight!

It’s a great bracelet if it fits you. I’m lucky that line fits perfectly, but I’d love some adjustability like my Planet Ocean has.

I’d give anything for a micro-adjustable clasp for the Sinn bracelets.CGSshorty wrote:It’s a great bracelet if it fits you. I’m lucky that line fits perfectly, but I’d love some adjustability like my Planet Ocean has.

I mentioned the need for a new clasp design to the Sinn representative at the last WatchBuys event I attended.

Always get the Sinn bracelet. Looks great. And getting it on is traumatic.

I got lucky. Im on the middle of the latch adjustment - I could see who this could be a hassle if I was 1/4" either way.

I think it's on for good. It was a MASSIVE PIA to put on...

Many hate the Sinn clasps, but I love them. Very Sinn in a weird way. Absolutely secure, but no extra material. I get that on the fly adjustments are great, but the Sinn clasp is small and low profile.

Sinn is selling the same old watches at new inflated prices while everyone else ups their game. They need to stop being lazy.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 4:58 pmI mentioned the need for a new clasp design to the Sinn representative at the last WatchBuys event I attended.
Re: New bracelet for the U1
you can hardly call Sinn lazy... a new clasp might be low on their priority list, and could inflate the price further?JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 8:07 amSinn is selling the same old watches at new inflated prices while everyone else ups their game. Name one update they’ve done on the U1 in the last 10 years, besides swapping to a cheaper movement.gr8sw wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 3:12 pmyou can hardly call Sinn lazy... a new clasp might be low on their priority list, and could inflate the price further?JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 8:07 amSinn is selling the same old watches at new inflated prices while everyone else ups their game. Releasing goofy versions of all their watches, or fitting a different dial/hands IS lazy.

Not a U1 update, but the U50 is pretty cool. 500m and 11.7mm thin.JP Chestnut wrote:Name one update they’ve done on the U1 in the last 10 years, besides swapping to a cheaper movement.gr8sw wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 3:12 pmyou can hardly call Sinn lazy... a new clasp might be low on their priority list, and could inflate the price further?JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 8:07 amSinn is selling the same old watches at new inflated prices while everyone else ups their game. look at their full line, not just the dull U1... they are miles ahead of Rolex and Omega in continuing technical innovation and the diversity of their line, and from a much smaller company than the others... lazy they are notJP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 3:14 pmName one update they’ve done on the U1 in the last 10 years, besides swapping to a cheaper movement.gr8sw wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 3:12 pmyou can hardly call Sinn lazy... a new clasp might be low on their priority list, and could inflate the price further?JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 8:07 amSinn is selling the same old watches at new inflated prices while everyone else ups their game. Mine is 11 years old - but, that's ok with me. Still doesnt have a scratch on the case and has two tiny nicks on the crystal. I dont want or cant spend 2x for something newer that may or may not have the same incredibly iconic presence... I LOVE mine.
