Awesome! I was just thinking the other day it would be cool to see sometime do the side by side comparison.

I can say for sure that the matte black hands of the 50P are far better then the gloss of the U1P.

I took out mine on NATO last night and went right back to bracelet. Love it on bracelet.

Interesting on the difference between the hands, which you can easily see here. Also, how do they look so similar in size? I dig the lighter weight of the U50-would love to wear my U1P on the bracelet more but it’s just a bit too fatiguing for me.

The size difference makes them completely different to me.

I’m so used to the u1 that the u50 looks sooooo small. But it’s not.

The matte hands also make a difference.

I tried to line them up from the bottom lug.

I should have bought the U50. And would have kept the U1. I want both!

I find that the overall visual, the look on the wrist isn’t that different, but the comfort and lighter weight of the little brother makes it the winner.
I like the proportions of the U1P better in that picture (better dial to bezel ratio) but the U50 form factor is way more appealing to me.

Great stuff with all of the U50’s dropping into DWC.

Ugh! Where is my email to complete the sale. I can’t wait to get the U50 in.

Thanks. Noticed that in the clearer pic posted afterwards. Much prefer matte for this watch. Seems to suit the style better.

How is the time keeping for everyone?
I’ve worn it every day for the 2 weeks I had it, was +70sec so about +5 sec/day
Hoping it slows down a little. But I’d rather have it 5 seconds fast than 5 slow.

So I just notified something. I was grocery shopping and with the bright lights I saw a spec on the dial but reflective. I think it’s a scratch in the paint. Sucks. I never noticed it before, no clue how it would have gotten there.
I emailed Rob and he emailed right back and told me to fill out a form.

Bummer. I’m sure they’ll sort it. No gas to worry about. Maybe regulate while in.

That’s sucks, now I have to take a closer look at mine. I hope they get it sorted quick. Seems like the second warranty issue on not that many in the wild so far including the DOA one from the WUS thread.

Dang! Definitely sucks. My U2W was DOA also. I contacted Rob and I asked him I wanted a new one instead of repairing it. Rob informed me that I wouldn’t get the serial number I requested. That was fine with me. They sent me a new one since they had more in stock. I’d hate to get one like this and then reopen it to repair. I’m sure they will treat you right. I assume they would send it back to Germany and have a brand new dial to swap out.

When a Navy buddy was in Japan, the U2 Meisterbund III came out. As a Japan only model, you had to purchase it there. My buddy did just that for me. When he arrived in the US, I noticed the hands had uneven paint. I contacted the Japanese store and told them what’s up. They actually questioned me on how I got a hold of one. I told them. They requested to send it back to Japan to have hands replaced. I asked them to be careful with scratching the watch. They sent me photos of several hands at high magnifications to choose from. They installed the new set of hands and even sent my original ones and an extra pair for free, lol. The watch was impeccable upon receipt. That was a great experience.

Best of luck!
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

That’s a great story about your U2 M. Customer service at its finest.

I’m not too worried about it. Of course I want it fixed, but I know Sinn will get the work done. I’m awaiting WB response, but I’m sure there won’t be an issue.

Eh. Not really liking this response by WB.
I’d really like it to go to Germany.
And it’s either glitter or a scratch. It’s not lent. It’s reflective:

Ok, has anyone here ever worked with Jon?
He’s starting to get on my nerves.

I sent him an email saying I’m very familiar with Sinn service through Germany and RGM and I highly prefer Germany. I also said that the mark on the dial lights up when the sun hits it, and I’m certain it’s not just dust. I also asked that since it’s under warranty, do I get a shipping label.

He responded that he can provide a shipping label to RGM but not Sinn Germany…. And that he highly recommends that RGM remove the “fleck” from the dial.

Contact Chris S. I’m sure he will put in a word to Rob. Chris helped me with similar situation and Rob took care of it.

Ben, IMO Sinn Germany should take care of it. It was their quality control that probably failed on this one. Watchbuys is just the middle man.

Have you looked at it with a loupe to confirm that it's a dial defect? If so, I'd definitely insist that this be taken care of by Sinn Germany.

Email Sinn Germany directly and tell them you want it to go there. They’ll probably send you a label, they did for me some years back.
