Anyone who has been pondering a new Sinn purchase might want to pull the trigger sometime this month…

No surprise but at some point they need to swallow a bit of the shit economy and sell at their already high price to stop losing their customers.

Can't disagree. Close to $4K seems to be the norm for Sinn these days, and that's before the increase. Makes me wonder how brands like Guinand can produce comparable watches at ~ $2500.

At the typical AD discount for IWC, you could get into something like a Mark series for not much more than $4K too - with more cachet (if that matters to you) and better finishing. I'd take a Longines Avigator Big Eye for $3K (with a column wheel chronograph movement) over most Sinns as well.

Sinn have managed to successfully price themselves out of the market, IMHO.

Sinn at $1500 or $2000 was their right spot. The finishing is mediocre and the designs are boring and repetitive.

T50 here however it will have to wait for a few on the used market and even then look for a good deal

Buy that T50…and then I will try to buy it from you when the flip happens.

Yeah, Sinn is overpriced now, but they are the most “me” brand, followed by Tudor and Seiko. I also have a U50, 103, and EZM3 on my very short list.

We did that two years ago. it’s become pricey in past few years but adding a lane to the driveway and a pad on the side was well worth it.

I found a local company with a good reputation and good pricing but going to cost me my PO 2500D and maybe a couple more when we get the work scheduled
But hey, priorities.

My 857UTC fully regimented on strap was $1680. The same watch is now $2680. I bought the watch way back in 2008, so it's been a while. According to an online inflation calculator, $1680 in 2008 is about $2500 now, so the current Sinn price doesn't seem that far out of whack when inflation is taken into account.

This makes sense. I wish everything was less expensive, but I find Sinn to delivery a quality watch for the money.

° We will announce these new Sinn models on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at exactly 3 AM ET.

I though they were done for the year. Something new coming?

I’m still wanting a 3-hand version of the EZM 1.1, but obviously thinner. I suggested it when the 1.1 came out, but who knows if they’ll ever do one.

Sinn has priced me out on new watches. The beating they take on the secondary doesn’t help.

Every time a used 206 Arktis comes on the market I’m tempted. The price new now is insane.

I love the watch and was seriously considering a nice preowned example recently, but the 17mm thickness chased me off. Ultimately, I went with a new U2 instead and it’s been on my wrist since it arrived.

Could not agree more.
All these brands who have zero recognition outside of the watch enthusiast world seem to be unaware that you can find entry level perfect condition Rolex five digits for this kind of money, and that many desirable Tudors with in house movements are found at the same price points new (and 30% off used)
