If you'd bothered to look around here at all before posting this would not have been a suprise - or at least you would have put some effort into an intro that showed an interest in something more than money. Lazy and thin skinned isn't a great combo in any forum.

Having said that this place in my experience is pretty good with second chances so why not give that a shot.

It’s a really scammy thing to say “Hi, I’m new. I have an expensive vintage watch and I want you to PM me offers.”

If you want trust, you’ve got to earn it.

Your response doesn’t seem to indicate that you actually have something legitimate to sell.

If he had taken the time to get acquainted with the forum, he would have known that Hoppy really is a Nigerian prince.

Thanks for the info champ. I've looked at some on ebay and most seem to be in their original condition. Mines not. It was a mess and I was advised to get it refurbished, which I did. But when I had it looked by a dealer he said I should have left it the way it was. Though he never saw it the way it was. He first offered me $5000 AUS. I said no and he then instantly raised it to $6500. I don't want to sell it to a dealer. I'd rather sell it to someone who really appreciates it, that's all..

These new guys. Dude, you haven’t even posted a picture…

Tell us about yourself: location, collection, what you do, etc.

O.K. I'm not a "dude", dude. I'm 57 I live in Australia, I'm retired and I have a collection of 1. It was suggested to me to try a forum to get some useful advice on selling this watch. Clearly, I was misinformed. I never realised it would be so hard to get rid of a watch.

Has plenty of time to rebut, but not to post a pic. Seems legit!

Listen here Gaylord. Nobody with a post count of 1 is going to just hit up a forum, sell an Omega that allegedly was offered $6500 aus, especially from Australia. And still no pic. I suggest you go back to the dealer that offered you the cash.

…..and yet you’re a easily offended as a 19 year old university girl who is majoring in Women’s Studies with a minor in Social Justice.

You’re kind of an ass yourself, so either Harden The Fuck Up or piss off.

I am 51 and still consider myself to be a dude. Am I wrong about that? Or is there a point in time in the next six years where I’ll no longer be a dude? And when, exactly, will that be?

Could one of you dingbats let me know?

We’re you a champ or a chief at any point in time? While also being a dude? Asking for a friend.

Hope you didn't pay Omega to polish that. Looks like someone went at it with an old piece of steel wool.

I’ve always considered myself more of a sport.
