Did a catch and release,
Did a catch and release,
I had just purchased a new 1861 Speedy saphire sandwich last month, and that hazy ring around the dial was driving me nuts! I ended up trading it in for a 3861 hesalite and Have to say, I really like this one much better, and the bracelet is pretty comfortable as well!

Nice. Saw this version with the new bracelet at an AD and really like it. Recently sold my Speedy and if I get another some day it will be this version.

Haven't seen it in person, but based on pictures I might get the new bracelet for my 1861 Speedy. I like the "vintage" look.
Congrats!

Re: Did a catch and release,
My least favorite part of my Speedmaster is the huge center part of the end link. It looks fine on a big wrist, but juts out in a very ugly way on my wrist.
Re: Did a catch and release,
That looks fantastic! Congrats - great 'upgrade'

This new bracelet doesn't protrude past the lugs, is it would fix that center link issue, it also tapers to 15 mm which makes it more comfortable. This is great to hear and was also one of my gripes with the speedy...flyskate wrote:This new bracelet doesn't protrude past the lugs, is it would fix that center link issue, it also tapers to 15 mm which makes it more comfortable. The 3861 is my most comfortable watch.
