Erica's vs...

Post by Wario406 » Mon May 30, 2022 7:57 pm

So, Im a pretty big fanboy of Erica's Originals and am wondering if anyone else is also a fan - or, are there alternatives?

I've tried some other MN straps and not found a single one competitor that even comes close. At this point I have six and my collection continues to grow.

I've also tried a bunch of leather straps and find that either I like SS bracelets or Erica's because of how much my wrist swells over the coarse of a day. I also find that if Im wearing a bracelet, I'll take it off or on multiples times a day to fidget or handle it. If Im wearing an Erica's - it'll generally be on all day...

I’m also a fan. The quality is there and so is the comfort. There is a guy who uses actual parachute material. I’ll post his name when I see it.

Agree. Pure comfort. I have some from “others”…just not the same. Stiffer.

No, but I’ve looked at those. I like them.

That’s the one I started with. Too limited in offering, changed the looping method, and ham fisted hardware. Nice guy, but Erika upped the game, in my opinion.

I started out buying B&R Bands parachute straps and I really enjoyed them.
Then I got an Erikas…..

The B&R parachute are comfy but are a little too stretchy. If you’re active you’ll notice they let the watch head flop too much. I have an MKII blackwater and it fits great on the parachute because it’s light weight and low profile. I had one on my green Willard and it also felt great but I noticed flop at times.
Best feature- $25.

I then tried an Erikas MN and it is better. The fabric is soft and comfy but it keeps the watch head on firm with no flop.
I sometimes worry about the hook-buckle and it possibly coming off. That worry is behind me now, I just had my EZM2 on MN out in the ocean for many hours. Lots of swimming and big waves, buckle was great and watch sat on my wrist nicely.
Downfall? Price.
