Who makes this strap?

Post by Wario406 » Fri Jan 05, 2024 11:07 am

I got this strap from one of you mokes… dont remember who, maybe T-dog? and, and wondering who made it. I really like it a lot and would like another one in a different color. It appears to be canvas on leather.

IIRC Art signs them with “DAS” somewhere

Could it be one of the coveted drew straps?

It’s definitely a hirsch buckle but that looks to be a handmade strap. Maybe Art, Drew, but there are a lot of canvas strap makers out there. Canvas over leather with minimal stitch. Not to hard to replace.

Here’s a replacement option. Backed with French calfskin.

No idea on that one. Not Art or Drew.

I've purchased similar straps from Rene, a strap maker on WUS.

He took a break for a good while, but is now back in action.

Turn-around time is long, but straps are worth the wait.

Rene is happy to customize as desired (stitch color, tapered or not, etc.).
