Casio's new G-Shock Street Utility Military watches

Post by AtomicTom » Tue Apr 14, 2020 10:55 am

Not sure if you guys had time to check out these new Street Utility
Military models?

The DW5610SU watches have 42.9mm resin cases, 200m WR, LED
displays, chronograph, countdown feature, alarms, Module 3229
movement, and resin straps.

Then the new GA2000SU models will have a 51.2mm resin and carbon
cases in green or blue camouflage “Carbon Core Guard Base” 200m WR,
Super LED displays, chronograph, worldtimer, five alarms, auto-calendar,
resin straps, and Module 5590 inside.

I’ve already got a grey 5610 on the way.

I’ve been eyeballing both of these 5610s.
I really like both but I have another square on the way.

I’m not sure about this model, but I’ve been told that the GW-B5600BC series negative LCD is a big improvement over the older GW-M5610BC.

I like the look of the older GW-M5610BC and the style combi-bracelet over the newer “Bluetooth” GW-B5600.

Id like to hear from someone regarding the legibility of the new model 5610 in comparison of the two above .

How big is a 43mm G? Would it be similar in size to a normal 43mm watch?

It’s pretty similar. I don’t know your wrist size. Mine is just about 7.5 inches.
These are pics when I had the metal g.

 Carlo, they DO actually look like they have regular lugs. You're right !
Didn't even see that until you mentioned it, but it looks like it sir.

Art, couldn't say for sure that the reverse LCD is better now. But it at least
seems pretty easy to read, and like the contrast might possibly be better. :)

Jacob, guess the size is similar like you said to a normal watch.
I know mine is just a touch thicker, but also lighter at the same time.

FYI

As stated by Art, that's not the same size of the DW5610SU, that square G Shock is way bigger than a 5600/5610 G Shock.

Regular 5600 vs BB58:

Image

"The DW-5610 has slightly different dimensions than the DW-5600, but this is barely noticeable at 48.9 x 43.8 x 13.5 millimeters versus 48.9 x 42.8 x 13.4."

Art's G Shock is a GX56 model or "King of G-Shock"

My bad didn’t mean to confuse. Was just showing that I Hope negative/reverse LCD is brighter and more contrasting than my G-Shock

No worries bro! That negative display in your watch is better than older ones that I've seen.

Reason of my post is that it happened to me, bought a King G-Shock thinking it was a regular "square".... they are awesome but BIG!
