How do 44mm G's wear?

Post by Bradystraps » Mon Oct 16, 2023 8:35 am

I am considering my first G, a custom from Tokyo-Studios and am curious if the 44mm watches wear big, small, or bang-on accurate? My sweet spot is 42mm and I am concerned this one will be too big/obtrusive. I know they make some models in 42mm but not the one I want.

Thanks in advance for chiming in!

Generally I feel most G shocks wear smaller, especially any of the rubber/plastic ones.
I wear a 50mm G shock and I would never wear a 50mm steel watch these days, no matter the brand. My sweet spot with regular watches is also 42mm.

Unless it's a G-square it's going to seem kind of wonky because of chunkiness. It's a tool so no one cares and you just accept it. Gulfman is smaller but still a chonk on your wrist.

And yes, as post above says it will wear smaller than a similar (huge) size steel watch.

This thing? That’s an AliExpress mod. It won’t wear anything like the Casioak that donated the module and dial.
