Chat-GPT
Re: Chat-GPT
Sorry for reviving this thread. Do you guys use ChatGPT for writing? Or just for finding out info?

Re: Chat-GPT
At this point, I use AI for fucking around.
I used to use chatgtp as a backstop for my own memory while preparing my weekly radio show (classical music). While typically useful for double checking dates and places, too many times CGPT returned made-up stories. Several times, l’ve responded to a faulty query answer by pointing out that composer A was in fact dead before composer B wrote comments about their music, so no, they were not acquaintances and colleagues. The third time that particular error happened, I bagged chatgtp altogether, as it was clear that responses couldn’t be trusted.
To be fair, the language model was politely apologetic, and thanked me for making it better. Not my job though—if it was, I’d probably be getting a bigger paycheck.
Do not take facts as fact from those programs, they’re not ready for the big time yet.
Now, all that said, if your AI fucking around is not using “Perplexity” instead of CGPT, you’re probably wrong. Perplexity is smooth, sort of a combo of ChatGPT and google. Pretty cool, just don’t write an amicus brief for SCOTUS or some such with it. JMO.
Re: Chat-GPT
Yeah, ChatGPT is not that great at writing. There are a bunch of other AI writing tools that are better, like Sudowrite and Content Bot. Their prices are listed here https://writingtools.co.uk/pricing.html, along with other writing tools.
