Tablet Parental Control

Post by BlueSky » Fri Dec 25, 2020 4:14 am

I'll be setting up three Fire HD tablets today (all kids in the same household) and would appreciate any tips. Twins are six and their sister is eight. Assuming Amazon Free Time is a good option, maybe not the best? Thanks for any advice.

Start them off with time limits and never back down. Kids are ruthless screen junkies.

Bought this last month, great for managing devices, blocking websites (and categories of websites like “games”, “social”, etc) and setting limits. First gen device is the one I bought. The second gen devices requires a monthly fee. Buy the first gen while they last.

Thanks guys. Their Mom had already taken care of it and their tablet use will be severely restricted, among other things.

During school 8 year old son can play on Friday and Saturday only and there’s time limits.

During summer if he reads 15minutes he gets an hour of screen time. But he can’t get more than an hour.
