Problem down loading photos

When I try to download photos from iPhone to laptop a lot them are blank on the laptop screen to pick to be downloaded. Would the problem be the iPhone or laptop? And how would I fix the problem. Had to use a motel internet in WY with iPhone was a dead zone for phone and internet so had to use Motel internet. Could a virus be on the phone.

What OS are you running on your laptop? Mac or Windows?
What phone are you running?
What photo app are you using?
I download to my phone or whatever device to iCloud and it automatically syncs across all my devices.

I tested a camera used flash card and cable worked fine. Think it time to buy a new cell phone. Plus, the battery needs to be replaced.

It's the phone. They stopped supporting it a while ago Mike. I will trade you my phone for your Snowflake? lol

Well got a upgrade iPhone and downloaded the OSI 17 to it today did not solve problem. When it's downloading the photos to pick to put on laptop you can see them but when all done and you scrawl down half the photos look like this. Any ideas on how to fix this? And clicking don't see media files don't help.

My Laptop has Windows 11 Home in S mode only a few years old. And iPhone 13 with OSI 17

Wish I could help but I’m more of hands on kind of guy and I don’t use windows anymore as I have had a Mac for 3 years.
Not sure what the issue is. Hopefully someone can help or you may have ti take it somewhere to see what issue is.

I guess I bought a new iPhone for nothing. Turns out was the laptop. The laptop started to get worse on photos downloads. You know how you can reverse your computer backwards for a few days before any updates in hopes it will fix it. Well, the computer would not restart after it. Called Costco warranty help and we tried everything it was shot. So bought another laptop and no more problems. So, the laptop the whole time.

The iPhone was still obsolete and needed to be replaced. It does suck that you had to spend more money around the same time.

You know the Verizon store when I went there to get another iPhone, they tried to sell me the same model and I said I wanted the next upgraded model. Why are they still sealing an obsolete iPhone?
