Kudos to Timex for recycling/upcycling any brand of old watches.

As always, Timex is badass. Finally! Now I could keep my Timex literally forever.

Is this the first time a watch company is doing this?

Well, kind of. Rolex is now doing a certified pre-owned program, but they are only doing it with their watches. Sounds like Timex will refurbish their own but recycle the materials on any other brand.

I wish more companies would do this, and I am already thinking about a couple to send them.

I’m kinda hoping Casio would do this. I mean they’re willing to restore G-Shocks some time ago. I don’t think they do that anymore.

Honestly, I don’t like some people are throwing out watches, especially cheaper quartz ones. Such a waste. I rather fix them/get them repaired rather than putting them in garbage.
