I wish you the best with this endeavor

Do you happen to have any organic nipple cream or lavender scented massage oil? Asking for a friend. (Ben, I’ll let you know what he says).

Our extensive product testing has shown that a 50 lb box of good old fashioned lard kept bedside is best for those applications.

Grand Opening of Our New Business

Hey Guys - based on some customer feedback, we’ve now created “sample packs” of different soaps. We had a customer say that it’s hard to buy without smelling them, so while smell-a-vision isn’t an actual thing yet, we decided to cut some of the best selling soaps into thinner ~1 oz bars and bundle them together in sample packs.

The “Essentials” bundle has sample size bars of the shave bar, beard/hair shampoo bar, dirty hands bar, and coconut milk face bar.

DWC members get 10% off the first order with the DWC10 discount code at checkout.

Looks great. I’m getting great shaves with the shaving bar.

Great to hear! I feel the same and I’ll never go back to shaving cream/gel.

We we have activated charcoal in Black Ice, Cardamon Teakwood, and Wanderlust, maybe others but I’ll have to ask my wife. Nothing with pine tar at this point.

Grand Opening of Our New Business

Post by BacoNoir » Tue Oct 03, 2023 9:08 am

Hey everyone - just a quick update. Sales have been way better than I expected in the first 7 months and we’ve received some great feedback too. This latest email made my day.
Image
We have some new fall scents on the website now and our holiday scents will be posted on November 1st.

We have a recurring wholesale order with a Colorado winery. I’m taking their empty tasting room bottles and repurposing them into candles for them. Here’s a video on Instagram of the original process, but I’ve switched to a tile saw to cut the bottles now.

Anyway, I wanted to say thank you for the support and if you’re local, scan the QR code below to link up to our social media pages for the dates / locations for our upcoming holiday markets.

Alright Roger, I'm a little slow on the tech stuff.
I know how to use my phone to scan a QR code.
But how do I scan one that's already on my phone

On the serious side, looking forward to trying some of your stuff!

Thanks Greg and yeah, the QR code scanning is a bit weird in this environment. The workaround I found was opening the message on the iPad and then scanning with the phone. We got the QR code business card recently because a lot of folks at markets ask us how they can get notifications of new products/scents, and it was awkward trying to get them to pull out their phones and help them find us on social media. Now they can scan the QR code on my phone and get my contact card with links to all social media accounts and email.

The video of you cutting/sanding the wine bottle is weirdly hypnotizing

Thanks! We did that as a promo for the Blue Beryl Winery who we wholesale to and they can’t keep them in stock. We delivered 4 cases in July, 5 cases in September and will be delivering another 5 cases in November.

Since we made that reel, I’ve moved to a tile saw to cut the bottles and a horizontally mounted belt sander for rough sanding after cutting.

We just made a pine tar soap and oh my God, it’s my favorite scent in our whole line up! She added a little honey to it too, which results in great lather. The fragrance oil she used has woody, tobacco leaf, and spice scents.

Hey everyone,

We’re moving across the state to western Colorado and are doing 15% off sale until May 25th to try to lighten the inventory we have to move. No discount code needed. The discount will show up in your cart at checkout.

Thanks again for the support,

Roger

It won't help much with moving, but I just lightened your load by one shave bar.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

Thanks Henry! Mike picked up a few too, and we’ve also had 2 more orders for 12 bars today. Every little bit means less to pack up!
