Super comfy, Allen Edmonds Knightsbridge Chelsea boot...

If your shoe fits, and it's not unusual to not know your proper size, AE will feel fine brand spanking new.
On the topic of “fits”, I have two pair of leather shoes that were too narrow. Standard width and I’m in between D/EE. They have lived in boxes under the bed for years and years. I needed interview shoes the next week so they came out, I tried them on and goddam they were uncomfortable. Ok. Needed to take drastic steps. Heated them with a hair dryer and then alternated between wearing them with three pairs of boot socks while standing, and reheating under hot sun on windowsill. Did this maybe three times each for 15-20 minutes at a shot. Entertained myself by job hunting. It actually worked to stretch them wider and now they are comfortable. Very pleased with the results, but still unemployed. :tap:

Yes, it definitely takes a while to reach the comfortable stage...but worth it. :fro:

I picked up a couple of shell boots from Allen Edmonds during the recent shell trunk show. They’ll still be another 10ish weeks, but looking forward to them (for when I’m actually going into the office and traveling again).

Pics later, but here’s the stock images of one I could find. Landon in dark cognac marbled shell.

Image

Also got the Higgins Mill in bourbon shell. But having issues finding a stock photo now that the trunk show is over.

Very nice...I like the Landon chili/brown toe and heel.

Looks great Matt - I love shell cordovan, and it's an especially good material for boots given that they're often worn in tougher conditions than a lot of other shoes.

I miss my boots. I actually misplaced one of my favorite pairs. I wear them so infrequently that I have no idea where they are.

I finally got a new pair of Rossi boots. My old ones the inner leather heel is starting to peel. I will take apart my old ones and try to sew a new piece in.

Either way with the Aussie dollar so low I got these shipped to me from Australia for about $96. Great deal on them. :salute:

I really like those. I bought new work boots yesterday and I think I’m due for some new casual ones as well.

Just a reminder you have to order them small. I normally wear a US 10 and these are a 8.5 AUS. They fit perfect.

I just picked up a pair of chukkas or vellies, as they call them, from Jim Green.
Great price for some solid boots. Jim Green is a South African boot company that just started doing business in the US.
Their boots are high quality and priced well, due to a lack of tariffs and a favorable exchange rate.
They offer free shipping and have a discount code for 10% off.

Roomy toe box, true to size.
I always replace the inserts.
These were comfortable from the start.

Those look great for $90. Their Chelsea style boot looks nice, too. Those were my every day boots in NY for years.

It doesn't appear to be crepe. They refer to it as a pure rubber compound.
Feels a little firmer than crepe.

That's a plus. As comfortable as crepe soles are, they wear quickly and look kind of nasty as they get dirty.

Yeah, I have a love hate relationship with them. Wear so comfortably, but look like shit.

I’m currently enjoying break-in blisters from some new Red Wing 1907’s.

Today was all about the nicely worn Iron Rangers. Got them re-soled and new eyelets last spring. Had the copper ones done too.
