The doctor had a contraption that you wear around your waist. A finger monitor that checks your heart rate. And a nose piece to check your oxygen. Wear it overnight and the next day the doctor reads the results.
Results are that I have mild apnea. But coupled with the short sleep patterns and tiredness during the day, insurance will help pay for the machine.
I picked up the machine yesterday and had the maiden voyage last night.
Mixed results in my opinion. Took me a while to fall asleep. Longer than usual and it's just weird having a full mask on while trying to fall asleep. Let alone it cramming air down my throat. Everytime I moved I worried it was going to get loose.
Good news is I didn't snore according to the wife. Win for her!
I'm hoping it gets easier to sleep while wearing it and once I relax it will help with my apnea.
Wish me luck.

I'm guessing there are a few others here. Does it get easier?
