Wife bought this Mercury and Gemini space program plaque from one of the very few garage sales going on in the area. It’s woodgrain plastic with embossed mission dates and mission patch insignias made of paper inserts covered by coin-size shields of plastic. Said she bundled it with some clothes and purses for $5.
So she hands me this plaque thinking I’ll dislike it and absolutely love it! It totally reminds me of something that could have been in the NASA dentist office waiting room while Apollo Astronauts waited for their pre-flight dental exam.
Not sure who made it as the back is in poor shape? Plus the Gemini 3,4 patches are not correct.
Side note carl of Gasgasbones made the lunar plaque for the pictured project on the left.

Re: Garbage space related find
I love finding stuff like that at garage sales/flea markets. Low cost for a nice conversation piece.

Yeah my wife is the estate sale master.
She has her own collection of Ernest borel cocktail watches, other various women’s watches (omega, Hamilton, etc), a JLC atmos clock in okay shape we sold years ago, a vintage LV large travel bag the sellers thought was fake, and lots of collector grade costume jewelry
