Yankee Ingenuity
I've been busy at work in the basement; drop ceiling replaced with sheetrock.
I removed the drop ceiling and paid someone to install the sheetrock - I'm well aware of my limitations.
I took up and tossed the old carpeting, repainted walls and ceilings.
All that's left before the new carpet install is to paint walls by the staircase.
I won't need a ladder; extension pole reaches ceiling, but I needed something to hold the paint tray on the stairwell.
Just threw something together; looks like it will do the trick.
Best part is that it can move up and down the stairs as needed; I'll use a screw through the board to hold it in place.

Re: Yankee Ingenuity
Seeing pictures of stairs and a homemade contraption on a MCW thread has me feeling uneasy, naturally.

Just don't drop a knife on your foot while standing on that.

Great idea, and nice work, but I thought you were a Red Sox fan.
