Re: Worldle
Yes, I'm playing it. It's fun. I have some FB friends who are constantly sharing their scores - I don't really see the need to do that.
I also play three or four crosswords a day, so it's sort of the same theme as that.

Two tries today for me, as well - first time in ten days.
The odd part is that my first word had absolutely no letters in the word.

I couldn’t get it to work and I gave up.

Heard of it, but know nothing of it other than the name.
Re: Worldle
I’m in as well. Been playing every day for the past couple weeks.
From what I’ve read, the game was invented by some UK IT guy who programmed the game for his wife who was really into crosswords.
He just sold the game to The New York Times for a low 7 figure deal.
Given who it was sold to, I wouldn’t be surprised for it to be paywalled soon.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear.
The game has been working for me without issues each of the ten days.

Re: Worldle
I think the trick is that you have to type in an actual word. If you just type in random letters that don't spell a real word, the program tells you it doesn't recognize what you typed.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Thu Feb 03, 2022 5:36 amSkinny Rogers wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 7:13 pmSame for me.mattcantwin wrote:Two tries today for me, as well - first time in ten days.

Re: Worldle
As word games go, it's pretty simple. You have six tries to guess a five letter word. Every time you spell a word, the program tells you if the letters you use either don't appear in the word (these show up gray), appear in the word, but you've put them in the wrong place (these show up tan), or appear in the word in the place you've put them (these show up green).
Then, by process of elimination, you try to figure out the correct word. And the program only resets once a day, so you can't do more than one word per day (although apparently there's a way to go back to previous days' games and play those - I haven't looked into that).

I'm in. Also my kids and the missus. Sort of a family thing going.
I've never gotten in 2 shots. 3 numerous times but never 2

Re: Worldle
Here is a different version of the same game, but you have to try to recognize the song instead of guessing the word.

Re: Worldle
My teenage kids are now playing "lewdle" - same idea as wordle, except with lewd words.
For example, yesterday's word was "boner".

Try Octordle. You have to solve 8 words in 13 tries. There are similar versions with either two or four words.
