SAS and Mileata closing

Post by Graeme » Wed Jun 21, 2023 4:00 am

Hi Guys,
I have some bad news, SAS and Mileata is closing.
We had 15 lovely years making watches, and I have really enjoyed the entire journey. We had our ups and downs like any company but its the good times that I will remember.
I would like to thank everyone here on DWC for your support over the years, and especially for your support in my first year, (if you know you know)
It has been wonderful being a part of your community and the friendships that were formed, thank you guys so much.

I do plan to still check in here, I may not post much but I do check in quite often, and I am not quitting the watch industry, I still design watches for others brands most notably John McGonigles' new Oilean brand, and I also work with other brands doing their CAD work. So I'll be working more in the background.

Thanks again Guys, sorry for the bad news
:salute:

Graeme

You made great watches!
Some things naturally come to an end, glad that you will stay within the industry.
Best of luck for the future

Good to hear you’ll still be in the industry, Graeme. It’s a bummer about the brands closing but we have to make those tough decisions sometimes. Good luck!

Sorry to hear it, Graeme. My Sea-01 and Air will never leave my collection. Best of luck with whatever the future brings.

It’s crazy it’s 15 years now. I remember when you were first starting out and of course that “other company” and issues. You were a micro
brand before microbrands were cool!
Good luck in your new ventures!

Good luck Graeme! Also owned your Sea and Air watches, and was really happy when you thought about doing the 42mm models. The watches you made were awesome.

Good to know you'll still be part of the industry!

Best wishes for the future Graeme! I still wear Air #8 all the time. A storied watch from a great mind, for sure.

Sorry to read this and glad you’re staying in the industry working with other brands. Maybe you’ll be back soon with your own brand again
I wish you the very best

I think you're confusing me with Todd from Aegir Image

I work in film industry. The last few years, I've been travelling constantly with work, so that is one of the reasons I haven't been able to keep up with the watches.

Oh my apologies! That’s right - I was thinking of Todd.

Anyway, I’m sure it’s been a fun ride?
