Incoming Czech issued Eterna
Incoming Czech issued Eterna
Well since I added a Czech issued pilot badge pin to the collection it got me more interested in issued Czech pilot watches. I have one already a issue Longines. There are Czech issued Eterna and a Lemania same case design but a little smaller case size. Seems the Eterna is rarer than the Lemania you see more of the Lemania. A seller I got my Zenith Special in Czechoslovakia from I checked his watches on his web site and noticed the Eterna were rarer to due to the amount he had for sale and difference in price they only had one Eterna on Ebay compared to 3-4 Lemania. So checked out flea bay and found a Eterna and think I got it for a fair price plus the mail some what not reliable if I got one from Czechoslovakia maybe due to the virus messing things up. The one I got in the USA. Now I need to get the Lemania version to complete the set.
Case back issue marks really clean case with sharp edges.

This seller great got my Zenith special from him but bank wire and the mail system being a little crewed up made me search on Ebay for a US seller but did look at his web site due to a little concern on the sweep hand but he had two with similar hands see below good to do home work.

Check with another vintage military collector for the dial he said it would not worry him. Think I did OK. The crown was replaced but asked him to send the old crown with the watch but the old crown mite be beat up reason it was replaced.

You miss letting it got. These use to be cheap to get was looking at classicwatch old stock stuff that sold years ago 700-800 bucks was a deal but these are still sort of cheap at what other vintage issued watches sell for these days.
Re: Incoming Czech issued Eterna
Very clean lines. Beautiful piece
Re: Incoming Czech issued Eterna
I know members here like the design of this but fear vintage. Here is the reissue on eBay funny in 2014 some one posted about the reissue here on the forum at that time the original was half the price of the reissue now the shoe on the other foot the reissue now cheaper a cool buy for some one who likes this style but wants modern. Same case size as the original.

Re: Incoming Czech issued Eterna
Thanks for the complements the watch was in better shape than the sellers photo's. Almost hate to wear it since the case is in great shape.

congrats, well done Mike!

WWII Czech Air Force history is fascinating. Those were some tough, principled airmen.

There are a few good movies about Czech RAF squadrons in WW2 the Dark blue world and mission of honor. Gives you a idea what these pilots went through that wore these issued watches.

Re: Incoming Czech issued Eterna
Your right some had crossed swords on the lug some did not. Think the air force issued ones came with out the Army issued ones had the swords. There are two links above both with out swords but issued marks on back case cover.

Hi Mike, I wasn't being a smart ass, sorry if I sounded like one.. I was just asking... having owned a load of military issued watches I know that there are no 100% set rules for military or even for most vintage TBH... I had a Longines which was quite big and a Lemania which was small... what is the size? I love the guilt dial too it is very cool
