Picked this up a while ago. Classic vintage diver. Love the name. Please excuse the crappy pics.

Congrats I came close a few times buying a vintage Mondaine diver like there design and there price is fair. Compared to some vintage divers out there.

You are correct, T. That terminology was coined for the referenced Marathon.

The Mondaine's minute hand is a better example of a doggy dick. The Marathon JSAR has corndog hands.

Once upon a time long long ago I laughed while eating corn dogs. Laughed that stuff into my sinuses. Blew my nose and corn dog came out. Was a serious wtf moment.

Not sure. Mondaine also produced dive models named Marlin, Herring, and Gold Salmon among others. Life aquatic.
