I’d probably be punching myself in the nuts as well. Regardless, it’s really cool you got to spend some time with each of these.

Who the fuck replaced my Omega Flightmaster pic with a NO WAR Ukranian flag?

Wow. Some really nice things that have come and gone. I’ve had my share, but I really regret selling my 62MAS so I could buy a Doxa. Still have that Doxa, and absolutely love that Doxa, but that was dumb. I’ve done plenty of other dumb watch sales too. A certain 1665 comes to mind.

all I can say is 'ouch' Steve... that was a nicely curated collection now you've reminded me of all my fuck-ups
I'd love to have this one back...

Thanks guys. There's plenty more that I don't even want to think about. However, a $300. Seiko 6159-7000 and a similarly priced 6159-7010 come to mind. Both bought through a friend who got them from his watchmaker on Saipan around 2004 or 2005. And then there's the completely original 1956 Rolex 6536/1 Sub that I found at a local antique/flea market in 2003. Bought for $700. Ouch!

You had some nice ones. Only sold a few and miss those. But held on to most kind of glad I did. Could not afford them now.

Fantastic watches that you have had the chance to own and put on your wrist! More out there and still in the watch box.

Did the same
Maybe a variety of 40 Rolexes. 1/2 dozen Seamaster 300's. 3 Speedmasters, 4 Tudor subs, Longines, IWC's and Omegas galore.
Had a Longines 13ZN in an oversized waterproof case with 2 pushers worth about $40,000 today I sold for $2000 a week after I paid $250. It did have a very bad dial and my watchmaker didn't like working on chronos
3 containers filled with Omega movements
A number sold off when my watchmaker passed away and dial refinisher retired
I made money on all the sales. Maybe a few I broke even and lost money on a 1/2 dozen
If we had them back to resell again. We'd be posting about this another 20 years from now

Yeah I have a lot I should not have let go based on what they are worth now... the Daytona 116520 comes to mind for me... I liked the watch but I didn't bond with it when I owned it... I bought an unpolished pre-owned with boxes and papers and had it for 6 months... hard to hold onto a high end watch that is eating up your watch fund that you are not bonding with... I did do well on it, but clearly would have done better had I held it.
But instead I got some other stuff that I like and that is what makes the hobby fun...
