One that got away

Post by Vito » Sun Jun 23, 2024 1:07 pm

This one haunts me to this day. I saw this Eagle Star Geneve on eBay and watched it all the way up to close. For some reason I just missed it, I can't even say why. I'm not usually affected when things slip by me but I still think about this one. I figured it would pop back up as a flip but someone somewhere is loving this watch just as I would. The hunt continues...

If I know I am not going to be around when something I want on eBay coming to a end. I put my max bid. Sometimes I win sometimes I don't. But it works sometimes and sometimes I get it cheaper than the max bid. A little advice. It's a surprise to come home look at eBay and I bought a watch or something else I wanted on eBay.

Normally I do too but I just kept putting it off. I kept waffling on it but when I realized I missed the close it really stung. Something about that 37mm Squale 1545 case is just so damn appealing.

I know exactly what you mean, I sold one just like this, Eagle Star Squale medium, to Clay many years ago and never found it or another like it. Of course this popped up on Reddit a while ago, but missed it, as I’m not a fan of that website. Anyhow, what happened to Subawatch.org, as I can’t seem to find it?
