Anyway, my watchmaker - who has the bedside manner of General Patton - proclaimed in pseudo English that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my watch. He opened it up, blew a quick shot of nitrogen he has via a hose and bottle in his work area and invited me to look inside but "don't lean over watch!". Lol His overall assessment of large assembly line watch quality is "something something shit". I didn't understand the first two words.
Good dude.

Anyway, I didn't see anything fly out of there and it seems to be working ok? Now I'm going to be afraid to trust it (hate that); but I'm not going to send it anywhere to get repaired unless it acts up again.

Thanks everyone

Great to hear that. The particle could have been really small, since it take but a small one to get on the way of the micro wheels and cogs. Hopefully it was dislodged and blown out for good by your trustworthy watch repair man...

Wear it for a bit and see if confidence can build on it again.

Glad to here it's fixed! I have two, other than running slow, they work fine.

Cheers

Funny enough mine is more accurate than any of the MM300s I've owned - within 10 seconds per day, always fast instead of slow.

deepc - the same thing is happening to my monster tuna(cal. 4R36) it won't run when I wear it; or when being stored face up. it will only run face down; and stop within seconds when I put it on.

If I can't rely on a watch it's a goner.
only accurate watches are interesting
