It's interesting that 6012watches.com already has access to spares, even though the watch hasn't been released yet.spring-diver wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 7:45 amMy understanding is that it’s from Seiko. Expected debut sometime in March with a June/July release.Selym wrote:From Seiko, or an homage?

Hopefully it'll be priced similar to the "Turdle", and not in $1000+ territory.
Re: New Seiko Thread
None of the photos are showing up for me, except the case shot. I assume we’re talking about a slim case 6105 variant? If so, I’d like that.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Guys, have you by chance seen this new Seiko Prospex Speedtmer Mechanical
Chronograph yet?
The watch has details like a 42.5mm stainless steel case, 100m WR, dual
curved sapphire crystal, panda-like blue dial with nice contrasting hands,
markers, subdials, and tachymeter scale, plus blue crocodile strap. And
behind everthing, you have the calibre 8R46 too.
Here is a look...
Monochrome, and Seiko with much much more...

I usually roll my eyes when people say things like "the pushers are too big". But on that Speedtimer, the pushers are too big

The SLA model (SLA061J1) usually indicates a higher end piece. I suspect it’s mechanically identical to my new SLA051, running the 8L35 motor. If so, I would expect MSRP around $3200 and a street price (from an AD who discounts) somewhere around $2500.
Re: New Seiko Thread
The SLA is JDM and limited to 1000, I believe. Probably no discount.hoppyjr wrote:The SLA model (SLA061J1) usually indicates a higher end piece. Yeah, you can just barely make out "8L**' on the dial if you zoom in.

SPB261

SPB265
I saw the 261 and 263 in person today. Stunning dials. Also, the bezel is actually a dark grey instead of black. Very tempting, but since they're US exclusives I haven't found the typical discounting from Gnomon or Seiya. $1,400 is tough for a 6R movement.

Did we touch on the Seiko 5 x Brian May Series 2 yet guys?
This second incarnation has a nice 42.5mm gold tone stainless steel case
this time around. Plus eye-catching NATO as well. With the cool red, and
black "Red Special' dial still taking center stage. Then you still have the
Hardlex crystal, 100m WR, a well as Seiko 4R36 powering everything. All
visible through a red mineral crystal exhibition case back as well.
Have a few pics for you...

Whereas the stainless brought the original a more straightforward
classic, yet fun divers personality. This one has a much bolder feel
thanks to the gold. Although, I bet it’s more subtle in person than
it is in these pics here.
Thank you for looking, as well as giving your opinion on them sir !!!

Re: New Seiko Thread
It is amazing the quantity of models that Grand Seiko keeps cranking out. This is spectacular... although expensive. 41mm x 13.9 isn't bad given the case shape and Titanium. They are getting thinner... gradually.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Those look good, but these new cases look Omega chunky regardless of their measured depths. Even so, I'd prefer this to a modern Explorer 2.
Re: New Seiko Thread
Just in from Toppers. The perfect Seiko. Great size, classic looks, nice movement.
