I assumed Rolex was like Omega and required anyone with a parts account to follow their pricing schedule… but maybe not the case.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 7:47 amAn Indy Rolex place will do it for less than $500. To me, $260 and $500 are effectively equivalent— assuming that the 6r actually is as robust as the Rolex 30xx (which can’t honestly be claimed given that the 6r was introduced decades after the Rolex movement).
Any BOD who has an unserviced 6r from 2006 should speak up. I’d like to hear how it compared to my unserviced GMT2 from 2004.
The 6r movement is just a slightly upgraded 7s26 which has been around since the mid 90’s. Not comparing the movement performance… the Seiko’s have loose tolerances and high variation in accuracy, but they are reliable…. But cmon Jacob you are coming to the Seiko thread and saying $250 is meaningless to you while comparing cheap Seiko’s to much more expensive Rolexes.
