I wish they remake Seiko Stingray Scubamaster titanium. The GMT hand resemblance Stingray tail, her blue bezel with nibbles plus Seiko ladder bracelet are unique to the model. I haven't seen any other Seiko close to this even high end GS series.

It's only the wonky date display that I don't like.

Sensible pricing too at €1,700 & €1,900 for the LE

$1700, street price could easily be lower. I don't mind this price for an auto GMT diver with a 3-day movement.... assuming it is more accurate than the usual 6R family which might be a lot to ask. Nice to see the size at 42mm x 12.9mm height. Some of the images look really good and Seiko watches usually look better in person. I think this is a home run for Seiko.

Do these have ceramic bezels or the glossy style that the current MM200's have?

How about you guys?

There look to be two black dialed versions, along with a beige dialed model.
All with 36.4mm brushed stainless steel cases, calibre 4R36 along with both
nato straps, stainless steel bracelets and more.

Some pictures everyone...

I wonder if having the GMT chapter ring means the alignment issues of the past are gone.

Does the GMT ring rotate? If not, it's probably the usual crapshoot regarding alignment.

It doesn't rotate but I would think they would take some extra care to get it aligned as customers will be upset if the GMT hand isn't aligned properly with the chapter ring. Plus the price is getting pretty high. I've never seen an MM300 with a misaligned chapter ring so at some price point, they must be putting in more of an effort to do it correctly.

I have seen MM200's with misalignment issues.

I just hope the 6r movement gets a revamp, it seems to be a gamble every time I buy a watch with it. :crybaby:

Can't believe that I've bought into the "seiko" myth that they're accurate , or accurate enough.

My SARG was my first Seiko that let me down. Not sure Im ready to grab that wire again anytime soon after a high end "6R" blew out. I've always thought of them as the "Glock" of the watch world. Learn something everyday.

the 7s and 4r is the "glock" of Seiko's imo

This is my issue as well. I love my SPB143 but never wear it more than a few days at a time as it gains 10-12 seconds per day. With this new GMT they are approaching $2k and the 6R54 published accuracy is -15/+25 which is completely ridiculous. The Swiss / German brands are given you extremely accurate watches at this price. Seiko has the capability, they just don't seem to care.

I never consider GMTs because a) I never leave my own timezone, and b) I usually find the GMT hand an ugly distraction, but these are really nice looking.

39mm does seem to work for more people, you are right Mike.

I love when watch companies give people multiple choices like this though. ;) :)
Thanks so much just for letting us know about these !!!

Yup…. This is the perfect dive watch with GMT functionality layout in my opinion.

Once these get to the $1,500-ish price point, I will grab one. Maybe sooner I’d my travel kicks back in.

I've owned a few of the new ones. Been much more consistent than the r15 in my experience, but it's still a gamble on plus or minus.

Btw, i'm digging these new GMT releases... green is where it's at.
