Orange Samurai Mod
Just got pictures from Nathan Goodrich of the mod he did on my Samurai:
Turtle bezel with a lumed, ceramic insert and a flat sapphire crystal.
I decided to skip the AR, hopefully no regrets over that decision.

Re: Orange Samurai Mod
That looks great, Matt. Don’t cock it up with some goofy strap.

Re: Orange Samurai Mod
I forgot to thank Chris for suggesting I check out the Seiko Mods Group on FaceBook.
Saw the Mod I wanted and then made contacts through the group to source the parts.
Thanks, Chris.

Re: Orange Samurai Mod
That all black bezel looks soooo much better than the standard one with that non matching orange section. Main reason I've never bought one.

Re: Orange Samurai Mod
Going to try it on Terry's new strap (already have one).
Re: Orange Samurai Mod
I have a mint Turtle bezel if anyone wants to try the same thing. No insert, just the bezel.

Re: Orange Samurai Mod
Funny. I have a similar setup on the way in the mail. Plus an OEM set from Monster Watches that I am trying out that I think will look good.

Here ya go Matt. Still trying to decide if I like the combo. Strap is awesome as usual, but it’s definitely a dark reddish orange. Not sure about 3 very distinctly different shades together. It’s growing on me though. Might look better with the all black bezel insert on your mod. Post pics when you get it back. Although that might turn into me spending money to do something similar to make the a strap work better

Re: Orange Samurai Mod
Thanks for posting the combo.
When I first saw the strap, I thought the stripe was red; I see what you mean about the colors.
Whether I use it or not, I'll post a picture on the watch.

Re: Orange Samurai Mod
Black rubber strap Matt, I think that would be the best option.
Maybe something like this if you want more color:

It looks best on the Seiko strap. I’ve tried just about everything else.

Doesn’t Crafter Blue make something fitted for these?

As you pointed out, the oranges don't match.
Not terrible, but I'd rather keep it simple with the Hirsch rubber.

Re: Orange Samurai Mod
Yep. Definitely looks better on the Hirsch. Mod turned out great. Looks awesome. Honestly, the Super Sport is growing on me. Had it on for about a week now. After seeing yours I think it actually probably works better with the stock insert. The darker orange on the insert kinda acts as a bridge to the even darker orange on the strap. If I wear the heck out of it for about a year and a half and the strap fades a little I think it’ll be perfect .

Re: Orange Samurai Mod
The Toxic stripe is too red to be used with an orange dial. I paired it with this one, so the different colors aren’t so obvious.
